Mayhem is a Bicycle branded, custom deck created by the Cardicians. They were published by USPCC, and was a Kickstarter funded project. The name Mayhem was chosen due to the the mix of styles brought into the composition, giving it a feeling of chaos. The deck includes custom face cards, custom pips, and custom joker cards.  The tuck case is black with a deep burgundy/blood red and gold designs complete with a custom seal with a stylized M. The card faces are a rich burgundy/blood red, with black and gold detailing. Visit the (now completed) campaign page for images of all of the cards included in the deck. Pairs is a “new classic pub game” created by game designers James Ernest and Paul Peterson. There are a dozen different decks, and most decks has its own game variant. The game came into being through a Kickstarter in 2014. This deck is The Princess and Mr. Whiffle variation, and was printed after a stretch goal was met. This limited edition version is based on a book by Patrick Rothfuss and Nate Taylor. It is illustrated in the style of a children’s book, but it’s certainly not for children. This deck was from the first print off of Kickstarter because it contains a sturdy, plastic cut card that is not found in commercial copies. The cards are standard bridge sized and contains 55 cards and a rules booklet which includes the a game variant for the deck called Kitty. The Arcana Tarot deck mixes traditional playing cards with the Tarot. This deck is a standard poker sized deck featuring the standard 52 cards. Each of the royal court cards and the four aces are beautifully drawn custom artworks, created in an engraved style. Instead of the usual joker cards, this deck contains four extra cards showcasing the four major arcana cards (The Fool, The Lovers, Death, and The Tower). Number cards contain standard pips, along with corresponding tarot symbols of cups, swords, wands, and pentacles. Printed by USPCC, these cards feature a natural pearled tuck, with embossing and blue foil on the interior. This deck is an official backer deck, and comes with a backer card numbered 2227 of 4200, and signed by the artist, Chris Ovdiyenko.

Edgar Allan Poe front of deck

This Edgar Allen Poe deck features artwork by Dave Edgerly and is derived from such Poe classics as “The Masque of the Red Death”, “Murders on the Rue Morgue”, “The Tell-Tale Heart”, and “The Black Cat” as well as some of his more obscure works that true Poe fans will immediately recognize such as “Hop-Frog”, “The Gold Bug”, “The Oval Portrait”, and “Berenice”. The aces, face cards, and jokers are based on different characters. The deck will be printed by USPCC and feature the Bicycle Brand and were first printed in the summer of 2014.  Read more »

Vincent’s Royals front of deck

These limited edition cards had a onetime run of only 1100 decks and will not be printed again. Artist, Johnny Whamm, copied Vincent Van Gogh’s style to hand paint all of the face cards, based on Vincent’s own works. The joker cards are the two versions of his famous sunflower paintings. The back art is Starry Night. This deck is Bicycle branded, printed by USPCC, and is numbered 809 of 1100, sealed in its original packaging. These cards were printed March, 2016. Read more »
